Playtime!!

Savannah was so excited about her toys on Christmas morning that she wanted to play with them immediately!!

Daddy is telling her how to play with her LeapFrog table.

She didn't think Daddy knew best. She's explaining to him how to properly play with the LeapFrog table.Tummy time isn't as much fun now that Savannah can sit up on her own!! But she still likes to play airplane on her tummy!
Soooo many more Christmas pics to come!!

Savannah's First Christmas!!

Boy was she excited!! She hardly slept at all, and that's not like her!! We woke up, came downstairs, and Santa had come!!
Daddy and Savannah enjoying Christmas morning!
Daddy had the most fun watching Savannah enjoy Christmas morning!
Here's Mommy and Savannah opening presents.
Mommy got LOTS of camera stuff from Santa. Daddy's trying out the new lens hood here.
"Look what I got, Daddy!!"
Mommy's checking out her new bounce flash while Savannah chills in her new stroller. We still love her big stroller for trips around town but this smaller one makes travel a lot easier!
Savannah got Daddy this book called "I love you, Daddy." She loves to read it with him and look at the big pictures!
Santa brought Shane a new golf bag!
This might have been Savannah's favorite part of opening presents!
I got a new tripod from Santa so we're able to take some good family shots now. Look forward to more of those in 2009.

Bebe gave us a really cool waffle maker about 8-9 years ago. It makes the cutest Mickey Mouse waffles!! We pulled it out after we opened presents and made waffles and eggs for Christmas breakfast. We decided that it would be a tradition on Christmas morning! Next year I might try Mickey Mouse french toast!

Getting Ready for Santa

On Christmas Eve we dressed Savannah in her Christmas pajamas, read the Christmas story to her, and hung her Santa key on the front door. Nana got her the cutest silver key. It had a really cute poem on the box, but we've already put it in the attic so I can't tell you what it said. I think she was really excited about Santa coming because she wouldn't go to sleep till almost 1 am!! Then she woke up at 6 am and wouldn't go back to sleep. This may be normal for some babies... but not for Savannah!! She knew Santa was coming and she couldn't wait!!

(Again, I'm not sure how my pictures keep getting reversed... this pic is a mirror image... weird.)

Granny's Christmas

Here are some shots from Granny's Christmas. Savannah sure loves seeing her family. Here's Grandaddy peeking from behind the tree.
Hi Aunt Linda!! Santa brought her a computer for Christmas and she can now keep up with Stookeystylin!!
Here's Pam helping Savannah open her pretty new blanket that Cynthia made. It's so pretty! We love it!
I think Pam actually beat my mom out on holding time this visit!! That's pretty hard to do!! Here's the bear that she gave Savannah. She sleeps with it in her pack and play!
Savannah had so much fun opening presents this year!! We really thought she wouldn't get into it til next year but she did really well!! I think Pam had just as much fun!

Pretty Christmas tree.
Cheer up, Chelsea and Andrew!
That's much better!!
Savannah also loved her aromatherapy penguin from Lisa, Randy, Laiken, and Dylan. Somehow Pam helped her open that one, too!!

Savannah had a special present for Aunt Pam. The bottom portion of the frame says, "Dear Aunt Pam, Will you please be my Godmother?? I love you, Savannah."
Grandaddy just watching everybody.
Savannah getting in some Granny time.

Electric Bill

We got our latest electric bill. $380. This is ridiculous! It's only $1 more than one of our neighbors and $20 more than another neighbor... so I know it's not just our usage. Then, conveniently, we got a notice in the mail about how TVA is lowering their usage charges... wonderful. Is this supposed to make me happier??

Think I can get a bailout??

Regardless... here's our bailout plan:

Big Girl Bath

Now that Savannah is sitting up we're giving her a bath in the big girl tub. She loves it!! She loves to put her hand under the running water and we have to keep her from putting her head under water. Her latest obsession with putting everything in her mouth doesn't mix well with the new tub, especially when we add bubbles to the water. She LOVES bubbles!!

"Back off, Mom. I got this."

Her hair sure gets curly when it's wet.

Gotcha!

Somebody couldn't wait for Santa to get here!
