Fun in Gatlinburg

This past weekend we got a cabin in Gatlinburg with our friends Sara, Andy, and Jackson. Savannah loved playing with Jackson and he was sooo good with her. He was the sweetest, softest 2 year old ever! He loved to feed her puffs and teach her how to play with toys. Here he's showing her how to put puzzles together.

She decided to take a break to eat a car.

We went to the Aquarium while we were there. Savannah loved watching all the fish and was so quiet and observant the whole time we were there. It really makes me want to get our fish tank up and going.

This is how Savannah looked the whole time we were in Gatlinburg. It was a little bit chilly but she stayed super warm in her hat and Valentine coat from Bebe. You can't see the coat, though. I'll have to take a separate pic of it. It's super cute!

We had a great time and great company! The cabin was perfect! After the kids went to bed we loved hanging out in the hot tub and then playing a round of pool in the basement. We can't wait to plan our next trip!

People Watching

After our picnic on Sunday we just strolled around the park and enjoyed the weather and people. So many people were out and about and it was nice to not be stuck in the house. We could hear drumming in the distance and we kept walking till we found it. I took the opportunity to practice my photography. So many others had the same idea that it looked a bit like the paparazzi showed up! The drummers were very welcoming and it made for a great community of people enjoying the afternoon together!

Day in the Park

The weather was perfect this weekend! It was 70 degrees yesterday so we went to the park for a picnic and people watching. Savannah is definitely a people watcher! She also attracts a lot of attention. Kids, adults, and pets all stopped by to say hi to her.

There were so many fish swimming around in the lake. There were also so many people out feeding the ducks and fish that you couldn't even get them to eat anything. There was just little pieces of bread floating around in the water like litter. The ducks and fish were actually swimming away from the food. They were so full!! I guess everyone wanted to get out and enjoy the day.

I got some great people watching shots. I'm hoping to get those pics posted soon.

Weekend Fun

The weather was great today so we tried to get out of the house for a while. We went to an outdoor mall and just walked around and window shopped.
After the mall we came home and played in the floor for a while. Savannah LOVES playing with the dogs! Whenever they walk in the room she just smiles so big! Scarlet will let her pull on her ears and lips and Savannah just thinks this is so funny!

It's February!

I can't believe it's already February! We've been so busy that January completely flew by! Savannah is getting so big. At her last check up she weighed 17 pounds!! She is sooooo close to crawling! She wants to so bad. We really thought she was going to on Saturday night and she got really close! Hopefully, I'll get it on video and be able to post it!

I'm really going to try and start posting more often again. However, my computer is trying really hard to crash and our internet is constantly going out... so if I disappear for a while it's probably due to technical difficulties.

Bathtime

I wanted to get some good shots of Savannah in the bathtub today to frame and put in the bathroom. But once I got up there I realized my flash batteries were dead. So I just took some pics anyway. I'll try for some better ones later... but she still looks cute in them!

Ponytail

I put Savannah's hair in her first ponytail today. It sure makes her look different! She wasn't all that excited about the process of putting it up. I doubt it'll be our style of choice... at least not for a little while. But it keeps it out of her eyes pretty good! Sorry the pics aren't that great.
