Stookey Thanksgiving

We had Thanksgiving in Atlanta on Thanksgiving Day. They always share dinner with their neighbors and their family. We had it outside this year and it ended up being such a pretty day!

Her outfit was too cute!! Her Bebe made it special, just for her!! The pics don't do it justice. The embroidery was so pretty!! Savannah looked too cute in it!!

Savannah meets Jackson

Yep, yet another boyfriend. I don't know if Shane's going to make it through the next 18 years. He's a little ham and LOVED Savannah!! Too cute!!

Here's story time with Jackson. He read her a book while we were there.

He was so sweet with her! When it came time for bedtime Sara said she was putting his pajamas on and he wiggled away from her and came running in the living room where me and Savannah were sitting. He came to give her a bedtime hug and kiss... then ran straight back and got in bed.

Savannah meets another Grandpa

We got to meet up with Shane's dad while we were in Atlanta. We haven't seen him since our wedding and it was nice for him to get to meet Savannah. He's been so excited about her since Shane told him we were pregnant. She's his only grandchild.

Savannah meets Solon

While we were in Atlanta for Thanksgiving Savannah got to meet another boyfriend, Solon!! He's such a pretty baby!! And he seems to have the same calm, peaceful disposition as Savannah. I think they'd make a good couple. In like 27 years.

Mary Margaret checks out Savannah. She's grown so much since last time (and Moe shrank!!).

Baby Goes Hiking!!

I've been dying to go hiking since the weather has been so nice. It was one of the perks of moving to Huntsville. I went while I was pregnant with Savannah and I couldn't wait to take her along! So I found an awesome hiking backpack at a consignment store and packed her right up! She went two days in a row! Jen came to visit us last week so on Tuesday we took a girls hike on Monte Sano. The next day was Shane's birthday and Jen stayed long enough to celebrate with us so Shane, Jen, Savannah, and me went for day 2 on Rainbow Mountain. The weather was a bit chilly... but perfect for hiking! We bundled Savannah up and she loved it! She just looked around from her backpack and wouldn't make a peep... unless I stopped. Then she would start groaning and kicking just like she was riding a horse. And neither hike was a cake walk... both had some pretty steep declines... and worse, inclines. But we made it!! We both can't wait to do it again!!

Savannah would bury her head so far in my back you could barely see her little face. She fell asleep a few times.

Hehe.

This picture makes me laugh because Jen and I stared at this pole for about 10 minutes trying to figure out the difficulty rating of the trail we were about to go on. Now I look at it and it's very clearly marked "Extremely Difficult," the highest rating. Not sure how we missed that!!
